Hello, Its Ash

Growing up as a shy child, I found solace in the wilds of Kruger and Pilanesberg.My love for nature and adventure has always been a part of me.  so has my passion for horses - 21 years of riding has taught me love, trust, and the beauty of connection.

My horse SlewperSentinal holds a special place in my heart, not just for the memories we've shared and for making me the person I am today, but for sparking my journey in photography.  

 

Studying at Vega Brand Communications in 2009 helped me discover my love for capturing people's stories and giving them confidence in themselves and in front of the camera. There's something special about preserving life's precious moments and creating physical memories that can be treasured forever.

 

 Home is where the heart is - Kyalami, Johannesburg, with my partner Jaco and our three fur babies, Ally, Axel, and Faf. I am driven by my obsession with chocolate, leopard sightings, and a passion for animal welfare (huge props to Rhino Connect for their amazing work!)

 

 I've photographed horses, corporates and families across South Africa including, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Bloemfontein, Free State, Mpumalanga and North West.  

 

My style is Lifestyle photography, Specializing in golden hour for the outdoors to the professional portraits and creative studio portraits.  I love capturing real moments that feel authentic and true. I'm passionate about the emotions, laughter, and connections that make life special.
